Opening Song: I Walk in Danger All the Way, 1st and 5th verses

I walk in danger all the way.
The thought shall never leave me
That Satan, who has marked his prey,
Is plotting to deceive me.
This foe with hidden snares
May seize me unawares
If e'er I fail to watch and pray.
I walk in danger all the way.

I walk with Jesus all the way,
His guidance never fails me;
Within His wounds I find a stay
When Satan's power assails me;
And by His footsteps led,
My path I safely tread.
In spite of ills that threaten may,
I walk with Jesus all the way.

Scripture: 1 Peter 5:8-11

8 Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
9 Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings.
10 But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
11 To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

Message

We have a very powerful enemy. He is the devil, also known as Satan. He constantly brings suffering and trials our way. He also brings us countless temptations in his attempt to draw us away from God. It's a constant battle that we fight from the moment we come to Christ, and we continue to fight this battle until we lay down our lives at the end of our long journey here on this Earth. But Peter tells us in our scripture today that the knowledge of our brothers and sisters throughout the world going through the same suffering as we are can help us be strong, because we stand together in one faith. He then goes on to tell us that Jesus Christ, who is our God, and suffered more than most of us could even imagine so that we could share in His eternal glory at the end of life, is right there with us and will help us through each and every trial that comes our way. He gives us strength and perfects us through each and every trial we face and settles us on our feet on the other side. So because Jesus is walking with us and even carrying us through the toughest of our trials, we don't even have to worry about the devil. He may be powerful and he may roar very loudly, but he can't devour us, because God is always on our side fighting on our behalf through every hour of every day.

Prayer

LORD Jesus, we fight a constant battle with our enemy Satan each and every day of our lives. Sometimes it gets so hard that we don't know how we will make it through the suffering he sends our way. God, help us to know that You are always with us. Help us to know that You will use the trials we all have to face to perfect and strengthen us, and that You will help us out of our suffering and settle us on our feet on the other side. Help us to know that because of the unimaginable suffering You had to face, You understand anything we could face and we can be confident that You can help us through it. In the precious name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

Opening Song: Give Thanks to God, for Good Is He

Give thanks to God, for good is He, His grace abideth ever;
To Him all praise and glory be, His mercy faileth never.
His wondrous works with praise record, His grace abideth ever;
The only God, the sovereign Lord, whose mercy faileth never.

His wisdom made the heavens be, His grace abideth ever;
He spread the earth above the sea, His mercy faileth never.
Praise Him Whose sun doth bring the day, His grace abideth ever;
The moon and stars His might display, whose mercy faileth never.

He helped us in our deepest woe, His grace abideth ever;
He ransomed us from all our foes, His mercy faileth never.
Each creature’s need He doth supply, His grace abideth ever;
Give thanks to God, enthroned on high, whose mercy faileth never.

Scripture: Psalm 136:1-9

1 Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good; for his loving kindness endures forever.
2 Give thanks to the God of gods; for his loving kindness endures forever.
3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords; for his loving kindness endures forever:
4 To him who alone does great wonders; for his loving kindness endures forever:
5 To him who by understanding made the heavens; for his loving kindness endures forever:
6 To him who spread out the earth above the waters; for his loving kindness endures forever:
7 To him who made the great lights; for his loving kindness endures forever:
8 The sun to rule by day; for his loving kindness endures forever;
9 The moon and stars to rule by night; for his loving kindness endures forever:

Message

Everyone is probably familiar with the situation I'm about to describe. Your sitting at a table with your family and friends on Thanksgiving Day. Before you start eating all the great food in front of you, somebody invariably says: "Hey. Let's go around the table and have each person tell us what they're thankful for." One person says: "I'm thankful for all this food." Another says: "I'm thankful for my family." Another says: "I'm thankful for my friends." One dude invariably jumps up and says "I'm thankful for football!" or else he names a specific football team he likes, especially if they're playing well this year. And around they all go, each one saying what he or she is thankful for. But how many people are going to say: "I'm thankful for God." Or what about: "I'm thankful that Jesus Christ died for me." We should all be thankful for this truth. Jesus Christ did in fact die for each one of us, and He rose from the dead to sit at the Father's right hand for all eternity. And we should be thankful for God Himself, because without Him, we would never have been created. Today, and as you sit around the Thanksgiving table tomorrow, and every day of your life, consider God to be the one you are most thankful for. Tell Him so every day. Tell your friends and family just how thankful you are for God, not just for the things He's done for you, but also because He's God.

Prayer

God, we thank You for being God. We thank You that without You, the world would not exist. We thank You that You are loving, kind and merciful. We thank You that You sent Jesus Christ to suffer and die to save us all from our sinful lives. We give You all the praise, and we will never stop thanking You, because You're God and You deserve all the thanks we could ever give You for that. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

Opening Song: Since Jesus Came Into My Heart, 1st-3rd verses

What a wonderful change in my life has been wrought
Since Jesus came into my heart!
I have light in my soul for which long I had sought,
Since Jesus came into my heart!

Since Jesus came into my heart,
Since Jesus came into my heart,
Floods of joy o’er my soul
Like the sea billows roll,
Since Jesus came into my heart.

I have ceased from my wandering and going astray,
Since Jesus came into my heart!
And my sins, which were many, are all washed away,
Since Jesus came into my heart!

Since Jesus came into my heart,
Since Jesus came into my heart,
Floods of joy o’er my soul
Like the sea billows roll,
Since Jesus came into my heart.

I’m possessed of a hope that is steadfast and sure,
Since Jesus came into my heart!
And no dark clouds of doubt now my pathway obscure,
Since Jesus came into my heart!

Since Jesus came into my heart,
Since Jesus came into my heart,
Floods of joy o’er my soul
Like the sea billows roll,
Since Jesus came into my heart.

Scripture: Revelation 3:20-21

20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with me.
21 He who overcomes, I will give to him to sit down with me on my throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father on his throne.

Message

Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart. Hope is knocking at the door of your heart. Eternal life is knocking at the door of your heart. How long will you wait? How long will you refuse to answer? How long will you let Jesus stand there patiently waiting to come in and dine with you?

Jesus came to Earth for each one of us individually. He came and lived as a man. Then He suffered torture and death, the likes of which we can never imagine. All this to bear the sin of each and every person who has ever lived and each and every person who will live on Earth until His glorious return who will accept His gift of salvation which He gives freely to all who will ask for it.

So now it's up to each one of us. Jesus stands at the door of each and every heart today. He's looking for somewhere to stay. He's looking for a home in you right now. What will you do? Will you let Him in or will you turn Him away? Will you let Jesus come in and dine with you so you can dine with Him or will you eat the fat of the world until you die and it's too late? Make your choice today. Choose to live forever with Jesus Christ as LORD of your life and sit on His throne for all eternity. You won't be sorry. In fact, you'll see this as the best decision you ever made, and you'll be right.

Prayer

Jesus, I hear You knocking at the door of my heart. I know You've been standing there waiting patiently for a long time for me to let You in. LORD, I believe You were tortured and killed, and that You rose from the dead and now live so that I may live forever with You. I believe You and only You can save me from the life of sin that I have lived up until now. LORD, come in to my heart now. I open the door wide to let You in. Live with me, eat with me, breathe in me and live through me in all that I do. In the lovely and glorious name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

Opening Song: Take My Life and Let It Be

Take my life, and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
Take my moments and my days; let them flow in ceaseless praise.
Take my hands, and let them move at the impulse of Thy love.
Take my feet, and let them be swift and beautiful for Thee.

Take my voice, and let me sing always, only, for my King.
Take my lips, and let them be filled with messages from Thee.
Take my silver and my gold; not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect, and use every power as Thou shalt choose.

Take my will, and make it Thine; it shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart, it is Thine own; it shall be Thy royal throne.
Take my love, my Lord, I pour at Thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself, and I will be ever, only, all for Thee.

Scripture: Romans 12:1-2

1 Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.
2 Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

Message

When we ask Jesus to save us from sin, we are believing that He can do it. But in addition to this, we are offering ourselves as a living sacrifice to God and asking for an entire life transformation. You see, too many people think that salvation is just something we get from God and then we go on about our business as usual, just as we did before we were saved. But that's not what it's all about. Salvation implies repentance from our sinful lives. And repentance doesn't just mean "I'm sorry". Repentance is that transformation that says "I'm sorry, and I'll do whatever I can, with God's help, not to ever commit any sin again". That's not to say that we won't ever slip back into old habits and old ways of doing things that are not pleasing to God. But it does mean that we look to God to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, so that we will no longer want to displease Him. So how do we really repent of our sin and renew our minds so that we are constantly transformed into a living sacrifice to God? It's really quite simple. All we need to do is seriously study the Bible, which is the living breathing Word of God, pray constantly, and praise and honor Him in all that we do. In other words, we should have a constant dialogue with God through prayer, through praise and through His Word. In doing so, we will present our bodies as a living sacrifice to God at all times, and He will transform us by constantly renewing our minds and using us to do His perfect will.

Prayer

Father God, we thank You for saving us from sin by the blood of Jesus Christ. We thank You that You don't see our past sin because of the blood. We thank You that You transformed us into a new creation when we accepted salvation. Now we once again offer ourselves as a living sacrifice to You. LORD, we sacrifice our old habits and old lifestyle and purify ourselves once again in the blood of Jesus Christ. Continue to transform us now and for the rest of our lives and conform us to Your perfect will. In the powerful name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

Opening Song: The Solid Rock

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly trust in Jesus’ Name.

On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness seems to hide His face,
I rest on His unchanging grace.
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood.
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my Hope and Stay.

On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh may I then in Him be found.
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

Scripture: Psalm 46

1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we won't be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas;
3 though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling. Selah.
4 There is a river, the streams of which make the city of God glad, the holy place of the tents of the Most High.
5 God is in her midst. She shall not be moved. God will help her at dawn.
6 The nations raged. The kingdoms were moved. He lifted his voice, and the earth melted.
7 Yahweh of Armies is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
8 Come, see Yahweh's works, what desolations he has made in the earth.
9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth. He breaks the bow, and shatters the spear. He burns the chariots in the fire.
10 "Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth."
11 Yahweh of Armies is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Message

Troubles will come. They always do. Storms will rage all around us. They always do. But God is our refuge. He stands strong in the middle of the storm and is faithful to carry us out alive and unharmed. Even if the mountains are thrown into the heart of the sea, God is on our side, and those of us who trust in Him have nothing to fear. We can take comfort in the fact that Jesus has experienced everything we will ever face and more, and He made it out alive. Therefore, because He knows all our troubles and everything that can happen to us, He will be with us and will lead us and guide us safely through it all.

Put all your trust in Jesus Christ. There is no other name you can trust. There is no other person you can trust. You can't even trust yourself, because you can't weather life's storms alone. Only God, who is with you at all times can help you weather any storm that comes your way. Put all your trust in Him today and for the rest of your life. God never fails and He will be with you to the end.

Prayer

LORD, we thank You that You are our refuge and strength. We thank You that You are a very present help in trouble. We thank You that You care enough to be with us through everything that happens to us. Help us to know that we can trust You and no one else. Help us to know that You know everything we could ever go through, and You are right there to help us weather all our storms. We put all our trust in You, because without You we are nothing, and without You we would be overtaken by our troubles. Be with us, LORD, now and forever. In the everlasting name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

Opening Song: Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
In His temple God be praised;
In the high and heavenly places
Be the sounding anthem raised.

Hallelujah! Praise Jehovah
For His mighty acts of fame;
Excellent His might and greatness;
Fitting praises then proclaim.

Hallelujah! Praise Jehovah
With the trumpet’s joyful sound;
Praise with harp and praise with viol,
Let His glorious praise abound.

Hallelujah! Praise Jehovah,
With the flute His praises sing;
Praise Him with the clanging cymbals,
Let them with His praises ring.

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
All that breathe, Jehovah praise;
Let the voices God has given
Joyful anthems to Him raise.

Scripture: Psalm 150

1 Praise Yah! Praise God in his sanctuary! Praise him in his heavens for his acts of power!
2 Praise him for his mighty acts! Praise him according to his excellent greatness!
3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet! Praise him with harp and lyre!
4 Praise him with tambourine and dancing! Praise him with stringed instruments and flute!
5 Praise him with loud cymbals! Praise him with resounding cymbals!
6 Let everything that has breath praise Yah! Praise Yah!

Message

We are alive and awake this morning. This is a mighty act of God. We have food to eat. This is a mighty act of God. We have clothes to wear. They may or may not be much to look at, but we have them. This is a mighty act of God. In times of trouble we have God to comfort us. In times of distress we have God to help us. And in times of joy God gives us that joy. These are His mighty acts, because He is great and because He cares about us. Therefore, there is no time when we shouldn't praise Him. We should praise God for His mighty acts of power. He is constantly doing mighty works in our lives each and every day. So we should constantly praise Him each and every day. We should praise Him according to His greatness. He is great at all times, and His loving kindness endures forever. So we should praise Him at all times and our loving admiration of Him should endure forever. We breathe as long as we are alive, therefore we should praise God as long as we are alive.

Make music to God right now, wherever you are. Do a dance. Sing a song. Play an instrument, even if it's a finger tapping on a table or a foot tapping on the floor. Shout to the LORD, because He is good. Shout to the LORD because He cares for you. Give Him all the praise you can, because He and He alone deserves all you can give. Don't stop praising God in all you do as long as you're alive. Because as long as you're alive, God, who keeps you alive, is worthy of praise.

Prayer

God, we thank You that You gave us life. We thank You that You woke us up. We thank You for feeding us and clothing us. We praise You for all Your mighty acts of power in our lives. We praise You just for being God. LORD, may we never stop praising You, because You will never stop being God. We constantly give You all glory, honor and praise, for You alone are worthy. We praise You in everything we do for as long as we're alive. In the holy name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

Opening Song: To the Hills I Lift Mine Eyes

To the hills I lift mine eyes;
Whence shall help for me arise?
From the Lord shall come mine aid,
Who the Heav’n and earth has made.
He will guide through dangers all,
Will not suffer thee to fall;
He Who safe His people keeps
Slumbers not and never sleeps.

Thy Protector is the Lord,
Shade for thee He will afford;
Neither sun nor moon shall smite,
God shall guard by day and night.
He will ever keep thy soul,
What would harm He will control;
In the home and by the way
He will keep thee day by day.

Scripture: Psalm 121

1 I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand.
6 The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
7 Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul.
8 Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forth, and forevermore.

Message

God loves us and cares about us. He never sleeps and He will always keep us from harm, both day and night. He is our shade from the sun and our light at night. In times of trouble and in times of joy, He is always with us, and He will keep us from all evil. Nothing can harm us when we have God on our side. And as long as we keep our minds and hearts focused on Him, He will come to our aid whenever we need Him. But we must stay focused on Him at all times, because if we don't, we end up causing our own trouble. We must trust Him to do what He says in His word that he will do. Because just as He doesn't sleep, He doesn't fail either. God will never fail us and He will never leave us, because He gave us His word, and He never fails to keep His word. Trust God. Put all your trust in Him at all times. It's hard to do, but it won't hurt in the end, and you'll be much better for it. The more you trust Him, the more you will see Him working in your life, and the better your life will be.

Prayer

God, we thank You that You care for us. We thank You that You will help us whenever we need You. We thank You that we can put all our trust in You and that You will never fail us. LORD, help us to keep our minds and hearts on You at all times. Help us to remember that all our help comes only from You and that we don't need to look to anyone or anything else. Help us to remember Your word, for You said that You never sleep and that You will keep us from all evil. Help us to remember that You always keep Your word. God, we trust you from this day forth and forever. In the precious name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

Opening Song: How Marvelous God's Greatness, 1st and 4th verses

How marvelous God’s greatness, how glorious His might!
To this the world bears witness in wonders day and night.
In form of flower and snowflake, in morn’s resplendent birth,
In afterglow at even, in sky and sea and earth.

The starry hosts are singing through all the light-strewn sky
Of God’s majestic temple and palace courts on high;
When in these outer chambers such glory gilds the night,
What the transcendent brightness of God’s eternal light!

Scripture: Psalm 8

1 <> Yahweh, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth, who has set your glory above the heavens!
2 From the lips of babes and infants you have established strength, because of your adversaries, that you might silence the enemy and the avenger.
3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained;
4 what is man, that you think of him? What is the son of man, that you care for him?
5 For you have made him a little lower than God, and crowned him with glory and honor.
6 You make him ruler over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet:
7 All sheep and cattle, yes, and the animals of the field,
8 The birds of the sky, the fish of the sea, and whatever passes through the paths of the seas.
9 Yahweh, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Message

Look at the world around us. Look at all the wonderful things that God has made. Look up in the sky and see the sun, the moon and all the countless stars. Look at all the flowers and trees and grass growing from the ground. Look at the ocean with all its many creatures. Seeing all these things, who are we and why does God care about us so much? We are His greatest work, and we show forth His glory like nothing else which He has made. All the other things God has made are finished. They don't need to be improved or perfected. But we are always works in progress, constantly being improved and perfected by God each and every day. And this is the reason why He cares about us so much that He sent Jesus to die so that we may live, and why to this day He continues to change us from the inside and to help us to become more like Him. It's all for His glory. We see the glory of God in all of nature if we know where to look, but the more we become like Him, the more of His glory we show to the rest of the world, even if they don't know where to look. You see, God is above all, and there is none like Him, but many are blinded by the things of the world and they can't see the glory of God in everyday things. But we are the light of the world. So the more we allow God to work in and through us, the more of God's light will shine through us, so that others can't help but see God living on the inside of us. And once they see God living on the inside of us, they will allow Him to live inside of them as well, and He will begin working in their lives. Just as one candle can light many others, we as living works of God can light many other people for God as we let Him work through us. Go ahead and light some candles for God today and show the world how majestic He is.

Prayer

LORD God, thank You for caring about us. Thank You for continuing to work in and through us to bring others into Your presence. Thank You that You made us able to show Your glory in the world like nothing else You have made. Now as we go through this day, continue working in us to bring Your light to the people we meet. Help us to show Your love to the people we meed today, just as someone else showed Your love to each one of us, so that You may be glorified in all that we do. In the majestic and excellent name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

Opening Song: What I've Found in Jesus, 1st verse

In the arms of my dear Savior I am resting every day,
And His smiles like sunbeams fall upon my face;
I am standing on His promise, where I shall forever stay,
And my heart is overflowing with His grace.

I am filled with grace and glory,
And in Jesus I abide;
I will tell the wondrous story,
Since my soul is satisfied.

Scripture: Psalm 84

1 <> How lovely are your dwellings, Yahweh of Armies!
2 My soul longs, and even faints for the courts of Yahweh. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
3 Yes, the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young, near your altars, Yahweh of Armies, my King, and my God.
4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house. They are always praising you. Selah.
5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you; who have set their hearts on a pilgrimage.
6 Passing through the valley of Weeping, they make it a place of springs. Yes, the autumn rain covers it with blessings.
7 They go from strength to strength. Everyone of them appears before God in Zion.
8 Yahweh, God of Armies, hear my prayer. Listen, God of Jacob. Selah.
9 Behold, God our shield, look at the face of your anointed.
10 For a day in your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 For Yahweh God is a sun and a shield. Yahweh will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly.
12 Yahweh of Armies, blessed is the man who trusts in you.

Message

There is no better place to be than in the presence of God. Think of the best day you have ever had in your whole life. Now multiply that by a thousand, if you can even imagine that. Now think about this. Just one day in the presence of God is better than that. Much better, in fact. It's so much better that you will want to stay there forever. And you can. First, if you haven't done so, you must accept God's free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. This will allow you to go into the presence of God because it will take all your sin away. You accept salvation by acknowledging to God that you can't save yourself and that you need Him. You confess your sin to Christ and He puts it all under His blood forever. At this point, when God sees you, all He sees is Jesus living in you, and you will be walking blameless in His presence. Then the Holy Spirit takes over and gives you His power. Now to stay in God's presence. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 tells us how to do that."Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you." If by the power of the Holy Spirit, you continually do these things, no matter what goes on around you or how bad things seem, you will stay in that place of safety and security in the presence of God forever. And that's better than all the riches the world could ever hope to offer.

Prayer

Jesus, I desperately need You. I can't live in this crazy world without You. Come and take all my sin away and plunge it under Your blood forever. Live in me so that I may live in You. Keep me always in Your presence from this day forth and forever. In the wonderful name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

Opening Song: Are You Ready for the Coming, 1st and 4th verses

Are you ready for the coming of the Lord from Heav’n?
Are you resting in the promise which to us is giv’n?
Does your heart leap up with rapture as you know He’s near?
Or do thoughts of His appearing fill your heart with fear?

Are you ready (are you ready),
Are you ready (are you ready),
Are you ready for the opening skies?
Are you ready (are you ready),
Are you ready (are you ready),
Are you ready for that glad surprise?

Are you busy in His service though your heart is cold?
Are there precious earthly treasures which you fondly hold?
Would He find you doing only what He could approve?
Would He find you watching, waiting for the One you love?

Are you ready (are you ready),
Are you ready (are you ready),
Are you ready for the opening skies?
Are you ready (are you ready),
Are you ready (are you ready),
Are you ready for that glad surprise?

Scripture: Luke 17:26-36

26 As it happened in the days of Noah, even so will it be also in the days of the Son of Man.
27 They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ship, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 Likewise, even as it happened in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
29 but in the day that Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and sulfur from the sky, and destroyed them all.
30 It will be the same way in the day that the Son of Man is revealed.
31 In that day, he who will be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away. Let him who is in the field likewise not turn back.
32 Remember Lot's wife!
33 Whoever seeks to save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life preserves it.
34 I tell you, in that night there will be two people in one bed. The one will be taken, and the other will be left.
35 There will be two grinding grain together. One will be taken, and the other will be left."

Message

The day is fast approaching. Yes, the very day is on the way when Jesus returns to take His people into His kingdom. For some of us, this will be a very happy day. We will leave this world and meet Jesus. Unfortunately, however, there will be those who will see what happened and wish they had been ready for His coming. The Bible tells us that two people will be in the same place and one will see the other disappear from in front of their eyes. At this time, the believers will celebrate the coming of Christ while the rest of the world will wish they had been ready for Him.

Here's the good news for all of us. It's easy to be ready for Christ's return. All it takes is belief with all your heart that God loves you and that He sent Jesus to suffer and die to take away your sin so that you can have eternal life with Him. Once you take this very important step, the Holy Spirit will come into you and will help you live as a new creation in Jesus Christ. Then you will no longer have to worry about whether you will leave this world when Jesus comes to get us or if you will stay behind. On this day, you can be ready for Him. On this day you can gain Heaven. On this day you can be assured that you will be taken to meet Jesus in the clouds.

Prayer

If you need Jesus to come into your life and save you, or if you need to recommit your whole being to Him, please pray this prayer with me.

Jesus, I need You. I've found that I can't continue living my life without You. I believe that You came to Earth and died to free me from the sin that binds me. I believe that You rose from the dead so that I can have eternal life through You. Come into my life now and take away all my sin. I give my entire being to You today. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
